Take Action and Get Involved!
H2O for Life has commitment from 10 schools at this time,
ready to partner with schools in developing countries. We
plan to have 20 schools by September 1, 2007. We know
that we have a compelling story to share. Our slogan at
Highview Middle School was, “A drop in the bucket.” Drop
by drop we collected the funds to help a community across
the world access water. Our school made a difference, and
just as importantly, Highview students learned many
important lessons and life skills. They learned about
Kenya; they learned about social responsibility, and they
learned that by working together a goal could be reached.
We encourage U.S. teachers to contact H2O for Life and
join the global water initiative. In developing nations, H2O
for Life supports communities that are invested in the
creation of successful water projects. Projects will be
implemented with the help of local Non-Governmental
Organizations (NGO’s). Partner communities will submit
project proposals from their local water committees that
are designed to meet community needs. The communities
must be willing to provide labor and must be committed to
maintaining the water system once completed. Community
support of the project is essential to success.
